After completing almost all the edits from the last few weddings of 2016, it’s amazing to look back on what has been an inspiring and challenging few months.

Check out this highlights reel which showcases all the best bits from the past year.

From Scott and Emma’s wedding at the Lodge on Loch Lomond back in June, all the way to Ewen and Faye’s day at Dalziel House in Motherwell just a couple of weeks ago – it feels like it’s all gone by in a flash. It’s been thoroughly enjoyable and truly an honour to be tasked with creating a film for each couple to treasure forever.

It’s crazy to think that this time last year Maq Films was just a distant dream. It’s taken me all over Scotland to some of the most beautiful hotels and castles to film weddings for some of the loveliest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with, as well as to Italy – when I was given the responsibility of producing a promotional film. You can watch the film here if you haven’t already (great idea for a hen weekend if anyone is still to book one!). There has also been plenty of opportunity to broaden my musical tastes, from opera in a church in Tuscany to talented teenagers playing at the famous Glasgow Barrowlands – have a look at my personal favourite here.

Thanks so much to all the couples who have chosen to have Maq Films along at their most precious of days to record their memories. And special thanks to all those who have given such great feedback. If you have dealt with Maq Films at all and would like to leave a review, please click here to leave one. It would be very much appreciated, as the first contact with so many bookings is made through Facebook.

The diary for this year and next is already starting to fill up and I’m excited for what the next couple of years will bring.

Here’s to the future!
